I was looking for a new pocket digital camera to replace my ancient one that I’ve had for a few years, and was surprised at how much they’ve advanced since I purchased my last one, especially when I saw the Canon Powershot SD1400 IS Blue.
This camera sports one of the coolest and smallest designs I’ve seen and has a whopping 14.1 megapixels of resolution, a 28mm wide angle lens perfect for panoramic shots and a 4x digital zoom that makes it perfect for close ups too.
I love the Canon Powershot SD1400 IS internal software—so many cameras are quirky and can be difficult to change settings, but this newest addition to the Canon Elph series not only makes changing settings easy, it actually will do it for you!
Sick of dark faces in the sun or blue hues in wintery snow pictures? Canon’s Smart AUTO mode will draw from any of the camera’s 22 automatic settings depending on the conditions the camera senses so you don’t even have to think about changing them, and combined with the camera’s Optical Image Stabilizer, a feature that adjusts for and virtually eliminates camera shake from your hand, taking a bad picture is almost challenging, even in tough light conditions!
Plus, it’s really quite the little piece of eye candy. Available in a slew of colors to match your style, the Canon Powershot SD1400 IS Blue is truly one of the coolest and most user-friendly compact cameras you can get. While other so-called “point-and-shoot” camera’s can be so difficult to figure out, this newest from Canon really lives up to its class!
